Shaziah Zuberi

The launch of Shanaz Ramzi’s debut cookbook A Taste of Pakistan in Fusion has brought together original fusion recipes with a Pakistani theme. The aim of the cookbook is to bridge the divide between Pakistan and the world, and celebrate the rich diversity that exists in this country. In this way, the book celebrates the diversity of global cuisine, while ensuring that the traditions and flavors of Pakistan remain alive and vibrant.

As a freelance journalist, Ramzi was nominated for the UNESCO Gender in Journalism Award for her best-selling book Food Prints. She has since gone on to launch her own PR company, Starlinks, with a strong CSR aspect. Ramzi also writes cookbooks, which showcase the best of local cuisine and the fusion of different cultures.

The first chapter of the book explores the cuisine of different provinces and cities in Pakistan, including Karachi. The book also includes recipes of favorite dishes that reflect the changing seasons. Chicken tikka pizza is one of the author’s personal favorites. She also includes regional dishes that are popular on festivals.

Chicken Shawarma

In Pakistan, chicken Shawarma is a popular street food that originated from the Arab Gulf countries. This fusion of Arab and Pakistani flavors is a staple in Pakistani restaurants.
