Islamia College Peshawar is one of the public universities in Pakistan. It is located in the city of Peshawar in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of fields. Its focus is on Islamic education, academic excellence, and close military training.

Islamic education

Islamia College Peshawar is located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and was founded in 1913. The college is situated on 300 acres of land and has five faculties: arts and languages, basic and social sciences, religious and legal studies, and natural sciences and engineering sciences. Its main campus includes 395 residential flats and shops.

The college’s Founder Haji Sahib of Turangzai, the most influential Pukhtun religious leader in his time, was asked to lay the foundation stone of the school. At the time, he had been declared an offender by the British for anti-British activities while living in tribal territory not under British rule.

A meeting of like-minded people was organized in Peshawar. The meeting was held at the residence of Abdul Karim, a contractor in the city. It was attended by Ghulam Haider Khan of Tangi Charsadda, Habibullah Khan and Khushal Khan, and Sethi Karim Bakhsh. At the meeting, Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyyum moved a motion to collect contributions, and the meeting was immediately responded to with cash donations.

Academic excellence

Established in 1913, Islamia College Peshawar is an epitome of academic excellence. Its lush green lawns and magnificent architecture are a true testament to the Islamic civilization of south Asia. It is an amalgamation of Deoband and Aligarh schools of thought and has been producing exemplary graduates for more than a century. The college is home to more than 9000 students, 329 teaching faculty, and 69 Ph.D. graduates.

Today, the college is part of the Islamia University Peshawar, a prestigious university in Pakistan. It has a sprawling campus of 900 kanals, including an impressive golden academic block and 12 residential hostels. Its lush grounds include a recreation center and a grand Roos-Keppel Hall. Its three campuses educate over ten thousand male and 800 female students in a wide variety of disciplines.

The campus is home to the Central Library of Islamia College Peshawar. It covers an area of 13000 square feet and is home to more than 90000 books. The library is especially famous for its extensive collection of manuscripts on a range of subjects. The campus also focuses on co-circular activities. Students from the university participate in the Khyber Union, a cultural society, and student organizations.

The school’s history dates back to 1909. The college was founded in 1909 by Maulana Abdul Qayyum Khan, a prominent religious leader in the region. In 1909, he visited the university and asked about the problems the students had. Later, he built Peshawar College, whose first dean was Maulana Qutabshah.

Sports offerings

The Sports Department of Islamia College Peshawar offers a wide range of activities for the college community. Students can take part in volleyball, basketball, badminton, cricket, and football. There are also tennis courts and table tennis courts available for students to use. The college also organizes a sports quota trial on October 3 and 4.

Founded in 1913, Islamia College Peshawar is a public sector university in the city of Peshawar, Pakistan. Its campus is more than 300 acres and is home to five faculties. The college offers courses in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and modern sciences.

Students can apply for a sports program by filling out an online application form. They must also submit their original bank slip. To begin a program, at least 20 students must apply. Applicants should check the schedule at least one day in advance. This will allow them to plan accordingly.

Islamia College Peshawar is located near the historic Khyber Pass, a gateway to the Khyber Pass. It covers about 300 acres and accepts thousands of students each year. Each year, the college releases its selection list and merit list for all applicants. Applicants can check the status of their applications by checking the admission website.

Dean Saab’s impish sense of humor

Dean Saab, the head of religious studies at Islamia College Peshawar, was famous for his impish sense of humor. He used to tell his class a funny story about a boy’s bare leg, and the boys laughed. As a result, the college gained a reputation as a place where students could learn about Islam.

In his classes at the college, Saab would observe students on and off campus and use these observations as examples in his deeniyat class. These ‘advisories’ generally came as digressions from the main lecture, and they were often blunt, but often laced with humor.
