Kia Pakistan has a few new models on the market this year, including the KIA Stonic, KIA Sorento, and the Kia Stonic Tourer. The company is also celebrating the milestone of selling 50 thousand cars in Pakistan. Read on to learn more about these vehicles and their price range.
KIA Stonic
The new KIA Stonic is a compact SUV that is offered in the EX Plus trim levels. The Stonic is the smallest crossover in the Kia lineup, sitting two steps below the Sportage. Its name is a pun on the words SPEEDY and TONIC.
The Stonic is a four-door crossover that fits the needs of many urban dwellers. Its size makes it ideal for city tours. The KIA Stonic is manufactured in Pakistan by Lucky Motors and will be available at dealerships in the country starting in November. It will cost around PKR 4,545,000 for the basic EX variant and up to Rs4,848,000 for the top EX+ model.
The Stonic has a sleek, attractive exterior design. It features a tiger-nose grille and glossy projector-type halogen headlamps. It also has LED sunlight hours jogging lighting. As a part of its safety features, the Stonic has a stability control system and a tire pressure monitoring system. Moreover, the vehicle will be assembled locally and spare parts will be readily available.
The base variant, EX, comes with fewer features than its high-end variant, EX+. The base model, EX, lacks LED projector lights and 15-inch alloy wheels. It also comes without a sunroof and doesn’t have a roof rack. It is also missing a D-Cut steering wheel and an optional yellow stripe interior. Despite these limitations, the Stonic offers a variety of modern features, including 6 airbags.
The Stonic has many other features that will differ depending on its market and price range. The car was recently introduced in South Korea and will receive a facelift in October 2020. However, the final launch date in Pakistan may be delayed until the fourth quarter of 2021.
KIA Sorento
The KIA Sorento is a seven-seat luxury SUV that was recently launched in Pakistan. The new SUV will be sold in Pakistan in three basic variants: 2.4L FWD, 2.4L all-wheel-drive, and 3.5L FWD. The three basic models are similar in their appearance and engines, though they differ in drivetrains and engine capacities. The base model is equipped with a 2.4L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and 336 Newton-meters of torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
KIA Pakistan launched the Sorento after the huge success of the Sportage in Pakistan. The initial buyers of the KIA Sorento in Pakistan were dealers and investors. They bought the cars before the official launch. As a result, these investors were unaware of the price and generation of the car that would be imported. The KIA team, however, followed the same strategy as they had with the Sportage, and imported CKD versions of the SUV in bulk. As a result, they managed to convince many investors and dealers to buy the CKD model in Pakistan.
The KIA Sorento is an appealing vehicle with an elegant interior and premium exterior design. It has a seven-seater uni-body and is 189 inches long and 74.4 inches wide. The interior of the KIA Sorento is elegant and modern, with beautifully designed functional elements. The KIA Sorento was introduced in Pakistan one year ago. The next model is expected to come out in January of next year.
The Kia Sorento is the least expensive vehicle in KIA’s line-up. It is slightly larger than the Kia Sportage and is priced 1.1 million rupees less than the Toyota Fortuner. It has a variety of features that other models lack.
KIA Sorento price
The KIA Sorento price in Pakistan is expected to go up by about 1.1 million rupees. The price hike is a response to the depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar. This will bring the price of the SUV in line with the rest of KIA’s offerings. However, the increase would leave the price at a lower level than the original retail price.
In Pakistan, the KIA Sorento is not a very popular car. It was introduced in February 2021, and it has been dogged by several setbacks. Lucky Motors, the company behind the KIA brand, believed it could replicate the success of the Sportage with the older Sorento and an above-average profit margin. Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be.
The Kia Sorento is an extremely attractive SUV that features the tiger-nose grille, a design that has become synonymous with the Kia brand. Its interior is dated, though. It debuted in Pakistan in the third generation of the car, which is six years old. Despite its age, the Sorento’s interior is similar to that of the Kia Sportage.
Despite its recent price drop, the KIA Sorento is still a luxury vehicle that is not cheap. But it does offer excellent utility and a high level of safety, making it a viable option for buyers. In Pakistan, the KIA Sorento is more affordable than the Toyota Fortuner. Its price is close to the Chery Tigo 8 Pro.
The KIA Sorento has excellent handling characteristics in challenging conditions. Its suspension system is a combination of shock absorbers and air springs to absorb shock. Moreover, its tires are made of flexible material to absorb shock during acceleration, braking and steering. Additionally, it looks good, thanks to its 18-inch alloy wheels.
KIA Sorento has achieved 50,000 bookings
In the local market, KIA has announced a limited period offer on its new Sorento sedans. The Sorento comes in three variants – the 2.5L, 3.4L and 3.5L petrol models. All three engines are fuel efficient and offer excellent torque. A petrol Sorento is an ideal choice for people who are looking for a car with fuel efficiency and performance.
Sorento was launched in Pakistan after a massive success for its predecessor, the Sportage. The initial buyers of the new model are dealers and investors. Often, they buy the cars well before launch in Pakistan. Moreover, they often don’t know the price or generation of the car they are purchasing. KIA has applied the same strategy that worked well with the Sportage – importing the car in large quantities at low prices.
The KIA Sorento is a 7-seat luxury SUV that is aiming to rival the Toyota Fortuner. It’s designed for city driving and is expected to put a dent in the Fortuner’s demand in Pakistan’s cities. It’s been a few years since the South Korean automaker entered the local market. Currently, the KIA assembly plant in Islamabad has a capacity of 50,000 cars per year. The automaker has begun working in double shifts since January 2019 and is now the fourth largest automobile company in Pakistan.
The Sorento is a versatile vehicle that combines utility with comfort. Its size and cargo hauling capabilities make it a perfect vehicle for a wide range of uses. And thanks to a plug-in hybrid version, it has a 30 mile electric-only range.
KIA Lucky Motors’ partnership with Yunus Brothers Group
KIA Motors Corporation, South Korea, and the Yunus Brothers Group have recently announced a partnership for the manufacture of passenger vehicles in Pakistan. The joint venture will produce up to 50,000 vehicles annually. The partnership will also allow the company to take advantage of lucrative incentives provided by the government of Pakistan.
The new company will manufacture and sell KIA vehicles as well as parts and accessories in Pakistan. It will also market a range of vehicles ranging from 1000cc hatchbacks to one-ton trucks. It will compete with conventional local assemblers as early as next year. KIA Motors is a popular brand in the United States, EU and GCC markets. Its line of cars includes affordable hatchbacks, luxury sedans, crossovers and SUVs.
KIA Lucky Motors’ production facility in Korangi was completed in just over one and a half years, at a cost of 20 billion rupees. As part of the agreement, the company has a tax holiday of up to 10 years, and will have tax-free production for five years.
In addition to the partnership with Yunus Brothers Group, KIA Lucky Motors also plans to build a car assembly plant in Pakistan. The company plans to invest $115 million to build the plant, which will produce both passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles. The agreement was signed last year in Islamabad under the Automotive Development Policy 2016-2021. The company hopes to sell the finished vehicles as well as export parts to other countries.
In addition to assembling various models locally, Lucky Motors Corporation is exploring opportunities for the distribution of multiple models early next year.
