Bhai Pheru was later led to a Udasi SIKH master, Guru Har Rai, by a local villager named Bhai Bhagatu. The spiritual master bestowed a special blessing on the man, and appointed him to preach in the Nakka area.
Phool Nagar is situated on the N-5 highway, about 58 km away from Lahore. The town’s name was given to honor the famous politician, Rana Phool, who was the father of the late Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The Rana Phool Muhammad Khan was an MPA and personal assistant to the late Sufi Abdul Hameed, a member of the First Constituent Legislative Assembly of Pakistan. He is a member of the Pakistan Muslim League-N and lives in the Speaker House Punjab, which is adjacent to the Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore.
There is a high level of crime in Phoolnagar, as many narcotics dealers and gambling dens operate from the area. Local residents have expressed concern about lawlessness in the area and the frequent transfers of SHOs and station house officers.
Rajendra Singh Chauhan was elected as a member of the Punjab Assembly for the third time in 1997. He served as a provincial minister for three consecutive terms and held the portfolios of Livestock and Dairy Development, Forests, Wildlife, Fisheries, and Visitism. In June 2013, he became Speaker of the Punjab Assembly. He is a member of an honorable family of politicians.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan is the MP for PP-184 (Kasur-X). He is a pleasant and friendly personality who represents the area. In 1993, he was elected as a candidate of the PML-N. He is currently the member of the Punjab Assembly. Once elected, he will represent PP-184 in the provincial government. He will serve as the provincial minister for Livestock and Dairy.
