Rama Lake

Rama Lake is a lake located in GilgitBaltistan. It is near the town of Astore. The lake is surrounded by light coverings of oak trees and other greenery. It is a popular spot for hiking and canoeing in the area.

The road from Astore to the lake is an unpaved one. It is a trek of about 13 kilometers that begins at the village of Astore. It’s a fairly steep road, so be prepared to spend some time on foot. You should also bring plenty of water, as it’s cold all year round.

Camping is a popular activity in the area, and there are several places to stay while there. It’s even possible to go fishing at the lake. The area around the lake is popular for its trout stock, and visitors are encouraged to take their catch home. Camping is a wonderful experience in the wild. The area also hosts an annual Polo Festival, in which different polo teams compete with each other. The event attracts thousands of spectators every year.

Deosai Plains

The Deosai Plains in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan is a national park that is situated between the Central Karakoram Range and the western Himalayas. Its average elevation is 4,114 meters, making it the second-highest plateau in the world, behind the Changtang Tibetan Plateau. The park is home to a variety of butterflies and wildflowers that bloom in the springtime.

The Deosai National Park is accessible by car and is a short drive from the Astore Valley and Skardu. The park is surrounded by the Astore Valley to the west, the Gultari Valley in the southeast, and the Skardu Valley to the north. This makes it easy to explore. However, it is essential to bring warm clothes and a waterproof tent.

A stunning example of the high alpine landscape is the Deosai Plains, a high-alpine plateau located about 30 kilometers west of Skardu. The plains are covered with multi-coloured butterflies during the spring and summer, and have become a major tourist attraction in the region.

There is a lot to explore in the Deosai plateau, which is the second-highest in the world. This plateau is home to a wide variety of medicinal plants. In winter, the area is completely covered by snow. Luckily, there are four-wheel-drive tours that allow travelers to explore the Deosai plateau.

Sheosar Lake is the highest lake in the world. It has a deep blue water surrounded by snow-covered mountains. Its lush green landscape is a scenic highlight. You can even camp overnight here. During summer, it’s a great place to hike, or take a boat trip.

The Deosai Plains are home to a diverse flora, including hundreds of species of aromatic flowers. There is a plethora of wildflowers in this area, including Golden Ragwort, Forget-Me-Nots, Pink Sedum, and many more.

The Deosai plateau is a protected national park in Gilgit Baltistan. It has many lakes and streams. Fishing is permitted, but you must obtain a fishing license. Camping is possible around the lake.

Rupal

The Rupal Valley is a valley in Gilgit-Baltistan. It is located on the southern side of Nanga Parbat and can be reached via Astore Valley. The road to Rupal Valley leaves the Karakoram Highway at Juglot, sixty kilometres south of Gilgit.

The Rupal valley is surrounded by towering mountains and huge glacier reserves. It is located in the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan. It lies just south of Tarashing village and on the western end of the Tarashing Glacier. The valley is covered in juniper and other types of plant life.

The Rupal valley has two main settlements, the lower and the upper. The lower settlement is home to people who originally come from Baltistan. Their women wear veils and Balti headdresses. The upper settlement is divided into two villages and is characterized by very densely packed houses.

Tarashing village is a subdivision of the Astore District. It is a gateway to Nanga Parbat and is home to 200 locals. Most treks to Rupal Valley start in Tarashing. From here, hikers can reach the Rupal Peak, which is located on the southern side of the valley. It is also known as the south face of Nanga Parbat. It is 9 km away from the border with Azad Jammu and Kashmir and is an ideal climbing destination.

Visitors to Rupal, Astore Valley can enjoy some of the country’s most spectacular scenery. It is home to several species of animals, including ibex and musk deer. It is also a great place to take photographs. If you’re interested in nature, this valley should be at the top of your list of places to visit.

The Upper Rupal Glacier, the Laila Peak, and Toshain Peak are visible in the background. The upper Rupal Glacier is situated at 4390 m above sea level. Photographs from June 1934 and August 2010 show a more seasonal snow cover than it is now.

Minimarg

Minimarg is a village in the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan. It is located 36 km south of Chilam Chowki checkpost, on the bank of Burzil Nala. Minimarg is connected to the town of Astore through the Burzil Pass.

The Astore valley covers an area of about 5,092 square kilometers and is at a height of 2,600 metres. It is the highest point of the Astore Valley. Minimarg is accessible by passing through the Domel Top and Domel Pass. The village is popular for the scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere.

Minimarg, Astore Valley, Pakistan, is home to a picturesque lake known as Rainbow Lake. This lake is surrounded by lush meadows and is said to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. It is also a home for wild trout. The water in the lake is fed by the glaciers that were in place on the mountain slopes during the last Ice Age. The weather in Minimarg is spectacular in the summer, when the temperature rises to about 15C. During the winter, temperatures drop to around -10C, and in the coldest months, they drop to -20C. Despite the chilly winters, the picturesque village of Minimarg remains one of the most visited places in Pakistan.

The Astore Valley is home to many popular tourist destinations. The Nanga Parbat base camp, Rama Lake, and Shaigiri are among the many places of interest. Along the way, you’ll find the Deosai National Park and the Domail Rainbow Lake.

Astore Valley is a medium-sized town with a wide variety of scenic spots. The valley is dotted with various lakes and green meadows. Because the valley is remote, there are few facilities, but the best hotel in Astore is the PTDC Astore.
