Attabad Lake

The Attabad Lake in Pakistan is a popular tourist destination. The lake is perfect for jet skiing, fishing, and boating. It is surrounded by guesthouses and hotels. This lake has recently become one of the most popular tourist spots in Pakistan. During the summer months, the lake is a beautiful blue color. During the winter, however, it freezes over and is covered in snow. There are many activities and places to stay on the lake and nearby mountains.

In 2010, a large landslide blocked the Hunza River, creating the Attabad Lake. The lake is 109 meters deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Pakistan. Many people come to this lake to swim during the summer. However, swimming in the lake is dangerous. You may want to take a tour or a hike around the lake. The lake is very beautiful, and you’ll want to spend some time here.

During the winter, the Attabad Lake freezes, making it perfect for ice skating. Visitors can also enjoy swimming in the icy water. The lake is situated near Gilgit city, Nagar Valley, and Hunza. There are also several hotels around the lake to stay the night.

While you’re here, you might want to try out the new road tunnel. It replaced the wooden boats that used to travel across the Attabad Lake. The Chinese completed the road tunnel in September 2015, realigning the 24-km patch of the KKH and allowing people to travel to Khunjerab without a delay.

Before visiting the Rainbow Lake, you must obtain permission from the army. You can reach this beautiful lake by the Minimarg-Domel road.

The Rainbow Lake is a small lake fed by freshwater streams from the mountains adjacent to it. It is a beautiful place for fishing, as the water changes colors throughout the day. In addition, it has good-sized brown trout, which are popular among trout anglers. While visiting Domel, you must be aware that accessing Minimarg requires crossing the 14500-foot-high Burzil Pass. The pass remains closed for 7 to 8 months of the year because of heavy snowfall. Therefore, the best time to visit Domel is between June and July, when the weather is pleasant.

Domail Rainbow Lake is a beautiful 14Km lake, which formed after a landslide disaster occurred in the nearby village of Attabad. Its water level is 109 meters deep, which makes it one of the deepest lakes in Pakistan.

Passu Cones are a set of spear-shaped mountains in the Karakoram mountain range in the northern area of Pakistan. They are easily visible from the Karakorum Highway. They are a famous tourist destination and remain one of the most photographed areas of Hunza.

This beautiful landscape was formed in 2010 when a large landslide struck the surrounding area and left behind a 14-kilometer lake. Visitors can walk around this beautiful lake, jet-ski or just relax and take in the amazing views. The nearby resorts include the luxurious Luxus Hunza Hotel and the Sweet Toot Camping Resort.

The region is also home to the Wakhi, Burushaski, and Domaki ethnic groups. There are many hotels, shops, and restaurants in Gulmit. This is one of the most popular tourist spots in Upper Hunza, as it is the gateway to five valleys.
