Issaquah Transit Center

For local transportation, there are buses that serve the Issaquah Transit Center and several other locations throughout the city. Bus service from the Issaquah Transit Center runs every thirty minutes. Tickets cost anywhere from $0 to $4 and the journey takes approximately 35 minutes. The service was originally launched as a shuttle service from the Issaquah Transit Center to trailheads in the Issaquah Alps, but has since expanded to Mount Baker Transit Center and Eastgate Freeway Station. Trailhead Direct will also soon serve the Capitol Hill Link station.
Sound Transit’s I-405 corridor project connects two major transit centers. The project includes improvements in station access and parking for bus services. It also includes new stations in Bellevue, Kirkland, and Renton. It is expected to be completed in segments by 2026 and 2027.

However, it’s best to plan ahead and check the schedule before heading to Issaquah Highlands Park.
The Route 269 and Route 218 buses go through Sammamish in the morning and evening. These buses start at the Issaquah Transit Center and end at the Overlake Park-n-Ride. The Route 218 also runs to Seattle and makes several stops along the way.
