The staff members are very pleasant and helpful. However, the allergy centre is, crowded and understaffed. Patients are, advised to come early in the morning to avoid long queues. The facility also needs more than one station for fee and token collection. It is also deplorable that the allergy center shares the same premises with an Opd for gynecology.
It charges Rs1,000 for an allergy test

The doctor did not fill the form properly and did not ask detailed questions about the patient’s history. She seemed insistent that the patient had dust and pollen allergies, which she did not. The standard of cleanliness needs massive improvement.
It is making the same amount of vaccine as before
A spokesperson for the National Institute of Health (NIH) has denied the news of the increase in allergy vaccine fees. The price of allergy tests and vaccination at the only government-run allergy centre in Pakistan will go up from Rs550 to Rs1,500 per person per month. It is estimated that 250-300 patients visit the centre every day for a checkup.
The Allergy Center was established in the early 80s and has provided allergy vaccination immunotherapy since 1981. It is a pioneer in the field and the only one providing allergy testing and vaccine immunotherapy in Pakistan. The center also maintains liaison with the Islamabad Capital Territory and uses weather forecasts to understand which types of pollen are common in the area.
