Susan Diane Wojcicki is a Polish-American business executive and CEO of the tech giant YouTube. She has over twenty years of experience in the tech industry. She has built her YouTube business from the ground up, and has since expanded to over a billion users. Her success can be attributed to her ability to connect people with the right content and tools.

Born in Santa Clara, California, Susan Wojcicki has two sisters. Her mother is Jewish and her father is a physics professor at Stanford University. Her sister, Anne, is also an entrepreneur and co-founder of DNA testing company 23AndMe. Susan Wojcicki was married to Google co-founder Sergey Brin for eight years. During her time with Brin, she continued her education by studying business and history at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Harvard. She also became active in the technology industry by serving on the board of Salesforce.

As a social activist, Susan Wojcicki has supported causes that help the less fortunate. For example, she has supported paid leave for parents and Syrian refugees. After graduating from college, Susan Wojcicki began working at Google, where she was the first marketing manager. She eventually worked her way up to a senior position in Google’s Advertising & Commerce division, where she oversaw two of the company’s largest acquisitions.

Before becoming a technologist, Wojcicki was a math and physics teacher. She also studied literature and history at Harvard University. In 1998, she returned to Silicon Valley and rented out the garage space of her Menlo Park home to newly-incorporated Google Inc. She was just twenty-two years old when she decided to go on to work for Google.

Wojcicki is the CEO of YouTube. She believes that it is important for women to have a work-life balance, and has increased the salaries of female employees in the company. She has also written an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal on how maternity leave should be financed. And what’s more, she supports the LGBTQ community.

Wojcicki started working at Google when Google first launched their video service. She subsequently took over the company’s marketing department and was the first person to lead that department. Her team helped create new products such as Google Images and Google Books. YouTube has now grown to over one billion users.

Career

Susan Wojcicki’s career spans the tech world. As CEO of YouTube, she has increased salaries for women and worked to improve the work-life balance for women. She has also advocated for gender parity within tech companies and STEAM education. In 2016, she endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. She was married to Google cofounder Sergey Brin from 2007 to 2015, and currently serves on the board of Salesforce.

Before becoming the CEO of YouTube, Susan Wojcicki held a variety of other positions in the company. She was responsible for leading the acquisitions of AdMob and DoubleClick. She has been responsible for launching products and services that help people discover new things. In addition, she has been credited with coming up with the idea for Google’s AdSense program.

Before joining Google, Wojcicki worked as a high school newspaper reporter, where she excelled. After graduating from Harvard University, she earned a Master’s degree in economics and an MBA from UCLA. She went on to work in Silicon Valley, at companies including Intel and Bain & Company.

As part of her career, Susan Wojcicki helped launch YouTube. She also worked at Google, and was one of the first female employees. Google incorporated in Menlo Park, California in 1998. Her parents rented their garage to the company, and shortly after, Google moved into its new headquarters.

Wojcicki is one of the world’s most successful women in tech. She was involved in the formation of YouTube and was its first marketing manager. She went on to work at Google after its acquisition of YouTube. She was the daughter of a Stanford University physics professor and an educator.

Wojcicki’s early career at Google was spent focusing on creating ways to monetize the search engine. She also launched Google’s AdWords service in 2000, which was the first major success. She also co-developed Google Image Search with Huican Zhu and co-designed the Google logo with Ruth Kedar.

Today, YouTube has two billion logged-in users, watches one billion hours of video per day, and has localized versions in 80 languages. Moreover, it has increased its female employee proportion to 30%. Under Susan’s leadership, the company has successfully diversified its product offerings, including YouTube TV and YouTube Premium.

Social activism

During her high school years, Susan Wojcicki excelled at school journalism. She went on to graduate from Harvard University with majors in history and literature. Originally, she planned to become a professor and work towards a Ph.D in economics. Then, she discovered the world of technology and applied that knowledge to change the world. After completing her master’s degree at the University of California, she went on to work in the marketing department of Intel and Bain & Company. She has also been a prominent YouTuber.

As the CEO of YouTube, Wojcicki has been making news lately. Recently, she discussed the problems she’s encountered at work and on social media. For instance, she has defended the right of women to be promoted at work, while promoting equal pay and increased salaries for women. She also believes in a work-life balance, which she emphasized in an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal regarding financed maternity leave.

Before becoming CEO of YouTube, Wojcicki began her career at Google as a consultant. She subsequently served as a senior manager for Google. She later became Senior Vice President of Advertising & Commerce and managed two of the largest Google websites. She has a master’s in business administration, and has been named one of the world’s 100 most powerful women by Forbes.

After graduating from Stanford, Wojcicki worked as a marketing assistant for Intel. She met Sergey Brin and Larry Page through a mutual friend. In 1999, Wojcicki was named head of the marketing department at Google. She was also responsible for developing Google Books and Google Images. These services were launched in 2001 and 2004, respectively.
