The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhatto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) is a private institute that has several campuses throughout Pakistan. SZABIST offers external programs in Law and Economics and Development
Students interested in pursuing graduate or postgraduate programs in Law and Economics and Development can attend SZABIST’s programs. The Institute has articulation agreements with universities in the United Kingdom and the United States. Students also have the opportunity to study in the Philippines through the institute’s partnership with the Philippine Women’s University.
The Institute offers various scholarships to help students fund their studies. Its scholarships range from the SZABIST Need-Based and Merit-Based Scholarships, Balochistan Endowment Fund, and HEC-USAID Merit and Need-Based Scholarships. In addition to these, there are also a number of community-sponsored scholarships.
The Institute is a privately owned institution with multiple campuses in Pakistan. It offers programs in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mechatronic Engineering, and Social Sciences. It is also recognized as a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Business.
The Institute offers a four-year BS degree program. Students must complete at least 46 courses to graduate. They must also complete a business project and a community service project for the final semester. The program consists of 144 credit hours and requires the completion of a six-week internship.
SZABIST offers Intermediate at SZABIST Intermediate campus Hyderabad
SZABIST provides state-of-the-art computer facilities and high-bandwidth Internet connectivity to all campuses. Moreover, the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, which allows students to access the network resources wirelessly. Wireless devices can be registered with the college to gain access to the campus wireless network.
The institute offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Students can complete their undergraduate degree at SZABIST Intermediate campus Hyderabad, Larkana, or Shaheed Benazirabad, or transfer to a MS, PhD, or MBA program. In addition, the Institute has several collaborations with universities abroad. For example, the Philippine Women’s University and the University of London have MoUs with SZABIST.
The SZABIST Intermediate campus Hyderabad offers a four-year BS degree in Computer Science. The program requires 130 credit hours and includes 40 courses each semester. It is a daytime program. Students also complete an internship and comprehensive exam, which is required for graduation. In total, the four-year program can be completed in six years, if extra courses are taken.
The Institute is approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). It is a fully-Chartered Institute and is registered with the Association of Commonwealth Universities and International Association of Universities. It is a member of the Asia University Federation. It has three intermediate campuses and one research center. The institute provides various undergraduate and graduate programs.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and a CGPA of 2.50. Admission is competitive and is subject to interview. The EMBA program is transferable to the regular MBA program at SZABIST. Students who have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field can enroll in the EMBA program.
SZABIST also offers a four-year BBA program. Students complete forty-eight credit-hour courses. One-third of the program is elective. Students can opt for a three-credit Business Project or a six-week internship.
Financial assistance is available for students. More than 80 percent of SZABIST students receive some form of financial aid. A variety of scholarships, including Merit and Need-Based, are offered to students. In addition, the institute offers financial assistance to students from financially challenged families.
