Exporters’ DirectoryExport Promotion Bureau (EPB)Focus on North American market

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is a department in the Ministry of Commerce that facilitates the international trade in Pakistan. Its main objective is to increase the exports and imports of Pakistan. Its website offers a variety of resources that can help you locate the best Pakistani suppliers and exporters.

Exporters’ Directory

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has developed a Directory of Exporters from Pakistan, based on export data from the Customs. The Directory is designed to promote exporters in Pakistan by providing relevant information about their export profiles and activities. TDAP hopes that the Directory will help to increase exports from Pakistan.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan provides a range of services and information to foreign traders. Its web site has information on Pakistan’s exporters and buyers, Pakistani business, events and statistics, as well as trade leads. Its export directory features the contact details of thousands of exporters from Pakistan.

The Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association is the leading trade body for the hosiery and knitwear industry in the country. The association aims to promote and accelerate the growth of the entire industry, generate immense employment, and foster national self-reliance. The Association also works to promote and support policies that promote international trade and investment.

The Trade Map is a comprehensive directory of importing and exporting companies. It also provides information on competitive and alternative markets. The directory features data on 220 countries and over 5300 products of the Harmonized System. It includes monthly, quarterly, and yearly trade flows. The data can be accessed at the tariff line level or on the most aggregated level.

Export Promotion Bureau (EPB)

The Export Promotion Bureau of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is a government department that works to promote the export of goods from Pakistan. As an attachment to the Ministry of Commerce, the bureau facilitates exporters and helps them exhibit their products abroad. Since its establishment in 1963, the agency has assisted over 20,000 exporters and assisted them to increase their exports. It has also hosted more than 2,000 trade delegations. It also helps in dispute resolution and works with the judiciary to resolve trade disputes.

Tariq Ikram, the current Chairman of EPB, has been providing leadership to the agency for six years. He will continue in his position as the new CEO of the authority and oversee the restructuring process. He has also resigned from his previous position as the CE of the TDAP. The new organization will offer market-based salaries to its employees.

Since its establishment, the Export Promotion Bureau has been working towards developing a better export environment. It is implementing various initiatives to promote the export of goods from Pakistan. It has set up 24 training institutes in export-oriented sectors, financed three pollution control projects, and established two export laboratories. It also advises the government on general policy matters.

The Export Promotion Bureau was responsible for various advancements in the international market for Pakistani goods. One of these achievements was the establishment of the textile quota. This was a complex and technical task that required the full attention of the EPB staff. It also required a thorough understanding of all legal and commercial processes. Its staff had extensive experience in the field of international marketing.

The WTO (World Trade Organization) oversaw the multilateral trading system that Pakistan joined. Through the WTO, Pakistan was able to gain access to a wider range of profits and trade. It was imperative to have the right expertise to deal with the changing international environment. Trade in goods and services and intellectual property rights were now symbols of business success in the international arena.

Focus on North American market

One of the priorities of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is to increase exports to North America. This has several advantages. First, the region has a large population, and there is a huge demand for Pakistani products. The second benefit is a relatively low cost of production. Third, the region is strategically located. Its Gwadar Port is part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan will focus on improving market access for Pakistani products and promoting the country’s business image in export markets. To achieve this, TDAP will employ the right skill set and latest technology in order to increase exports. Moreover, it will strive to create an environment that encourages staff motivation. This will help TDAP to create a culture of upward mobility amongst its personnel.

Another area of opportunity for Pakistani exporters is Central Asia. With the signing of the Uzbekistan agreements, trade activities have improved. Pakistan must develop a comprehensive logistics plan for transporting goods to these landlocked CAR countries. Moreover, it must have a formal payment channel to facilitate timely payments to its exporters.
