NSAIDs

The NSAIDs used in Voren Injection are, known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. These drugs are, often used for the treatment of moderate to severe pain after surgery. These medications should infuse over 30 minutes to 2 hours. The total dose should not exceed 150 mg in a 24-hour period. The NSAIDs should be administered in the loading dose after surgery and not as a single dose.

However, NSAIDs are not without risks. They can increase the risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events. These complications may occur early or late in the course of treatment, and can be fatal. Patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, or asthma should be carefully monitored.

NSAIDs are, also known to worsen the kidney function in patients with severe renal disease. Patients should inform their health care providers if they develop any bleeding or ulcers. NSAIDs can also lead to serious adverse events in the skin, including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. These complications can occur suddenly, making it imperative to monitor patients closely.

NSAID-related cardiovascular thrombotic events

Despite the FDA approval of Voren Injection, it is not without risk. This drug increases the risk of NSAID-related cardiovascular thrombotic events. The risk increases early in treatment and is higher at higher doses. Therefore, it is crucial to monitor patients for cardiovascular thrombotic events during treatment.

Several studies indicate that NSAIDs increase the risk of serious cardiovascular events (CVT), especially if they are, used for prolonged periods. Here are the guidelines to choose the right NSAID: -Avoid high-dose ibuprofen.
