Canesten Antifungal Cream is a great solution for those suffering from various types of skin infections. Its antibacterial and antifungal properties reduce the symptoms of various skin fungal infections, including athlete’s foot, Dobie Itch, ringworm, and dry, flaky skin.

Clotrimazole 1%

Clotrimazole is a potent antifungal agent that has similar antifungal activity to pyrrolnitrin. It is fungicidal against most strains of Microsporum and Trichophyton spp. and has a concentration range of 0.062-8.0 ug/mL. Its MIC was studied after 16, 24 and 48 hours of exposure and its action was concentration and time-dependent.

Canesten 1% cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole per gram. The other ingredients of Canesten Antifungal Cream are cetyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, and cetyl esters wax. The active ingredient in the product is clotrimazole, a weakly alkaline compound that is soluble in ethanol, chloroform, and acetone. It forms stable salts with inorganic acids, but is not photosensitive.

A recent study of 138 men with candidal balanitis found that clotrimazole 1% in CanestEN Antifungal Cream effectively treated their condition. The treatment eliminated all symptoms in eighty percent of patients. In addition to treating candidal balanitis, CANESTEN was effective against Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Candida albicans, and Malassezia furfur.

Canesten Antifungal Cream contains clotrimazole 1%, an antifungal agent that cures candidiasis and athlete’s foot. It should be used regularly and in sufficient quantities. A missed dose should not be doubled. During treatment, it is important to keep the affected area clean.
