If you’re planning on visiting Tando Allahyar, you should keep in mind that this town is in a different time zone. Because of this, you’ll need to adjust your travel plans accordingly. Check the local time in Tando Allahyar with your travel company before you leave.

Watayo Faqir

The Sindhi folklore is filled with legendary characters like Watayo Faqir. Known as a fable teller, he is a well-known character in the folklore. He used a great deal of irony and humor in his stories.

The story of Watayo Faqir traces its roots back to the 10th century in Sindh, Pakistan. The legendary figure is associated with many funny anecdotes, wisdom contextualized within the culture of Sindh, and a promise from the Koran. The Giver, who is not explicitly named, is also a metaphor for God, although the original source does not explicitly use terms like Allah or Faqir.

In Sindh, Watayo Faqir was considered to be a fable writer who taught the people about life through his stories. It is believed that he was chosen by God for this task, and his fables contain a wealth of wisdom. The Sindhi culture department plans to commemorate Watayo Faqir next year.

Rama Pir Mandir

The Rama Pir Mandir in Tando Allahyar is one of the most popular Hindu temples in Pakistan. It is dedicated to the Hindu sage Ramdev Pir and is the second largest Hindu pilgrimage in Pakistan after the Hinglaj yatra. The temple is also the site of the Rama Pir Mela festival, which is the second largest Hindu pilgrimage in Pakistan.

The Rama Pir festival is celebrated during the sixth month of the Hindu calendar, Buddo. Buddo is the last month of the monsoon cycle and the month when winter crops are sown. The temple was built by a member of the Khatri community 155 years ago.

The Rama Pir Mandir is located in Tando Allahyar, a town in Sindh. The original temple is located in Rauja, Rajistan, but the man who built the temple in Tando Allahyar swore to hold the Rama Pir festival in his hometown. He brought an earthen lamp from the original temple and built a temple in Tando Allahyar to commemorate the Lord Rama.

The Rama Pir temple is a sacred Hindu temple in southern Pakistan that attracts thousands of local Hindus every year. It is a major Hindu pilgrimage site and is part of the ancient Indus Valley pilgrimage route. However, despite its popularity, it remains unexplored and understudied in terms of historical significance, architectural expressions, and symbolic meaning.

Sugarcane cultivation

Although it is the sugarcane landscape that dominates the newspaper headlines, the area under cultivation is much smaller than cotton and rice. Both crops have regular planting periods and are dependent on irrigation water. This situation is particularly pronounced in the southern part of the province, where irrigation water is most scarce and cotton cultivation is far more popular.

Sugarcane cultivation is particularly important in Tando Allahyar, where there are three sugar factories. One factory is owned by a political family, while another is owned by multiple companies. In 2018, Tando Allahyar accounted for 7.18 per cent of the nation’s sugarcane acreage, while in 2019 and 2020, it will account for 6.22 per cent.

Agricultural biotechnology has proven to be an effective engineering tool for sugarcane cultivation. Researchers have found that overexpressing the SoSPS1 gene in sugarcane increased sucrose phosphate synthase activity and biomass, which led to higher sugarcane yield. These new cultivars were then cultivated in four different locations with varying climates and soils to evaluate their performance.

Tando Allahyar is home to several cotton ginning factories and also serves as a hub for vegetables. Vegetables grown in Tando Allahyar are mainly sold in the Sultanabad wholesale market. This wholesale market feeds the Karachi metropolis substantially. In addition, Prince Karim Aga Khan has been known to visit Tando Allahyar, and the region is famous for the Nasarpuri variety of onion. The locality is also noted for pottery and kashi tiles.
