Umarkot City Pakistan is located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. The city is known for its Hindu temple, fort, jail, and museum. It is a beautiful and picturesque place to visit. Umarkot is a Hindu temple

Umarkot, Pakistan is a place of great importance for Hindus. The city is home to the famous Shiv Mandir and is considered to be the holiest Hindu site in the province. In the medieval period, Umarkot was ruled by the Sodha Rajput clan. One of its rulers, Rana Parshad, gave refuge to Humayun when he was displaced by Sher Shah Suri. The city was then taken over by the British in 1843. Before 1947, Umerkot was a princely state and the city was known as Amarkot. It is one of the only places in Pakistan where more than five percent of the population is Hindu.

The temple has a unique architectural style. The main hall is covered with a mural of the goddess Durga, which represents protection, motherhood, and destruction. It is surrounded by a grove of Neem trees. Inside, the dome of the temple is slightly fading from sunlight. In the Sindh province, the Hindu population is a mere two percent, compared to the fifteen percent it had before the partition.

The Hindus of Pakistan have started building grand temples in the area. Most of these are in the Tharparkar district. Sant Nenuram and Parbharm are popular sites for religious celebrations. The yearly Pir Pithoro and Rama Pir festivals draw thousands of people to the area.

It is a fort

Umarkot City Pakistan is a historic fort in the north of Punjab. It was the birthplace of Mughal King Akbar, who later ruled over the region. The fort has been around since the 13th century. Before that, the area was ruled by the Sumra dynasty. In the 13th century, the Parmar Sodha occupied the fort and later sold it to the Raja of Jodhpur. In 1813, the Talpurs regained the fort and held it until 1843.
