Al Masjid an Nabaw, the Prophet’s Mosque, is a place of worship in Medina, Saudi Arabia. It is considered a major Muslim site and is a must-see when visiting this city. Located in the city center, the mosque can be easily accessed by foot or by taxi.

The mosque’s interior and exterior are awe-inspiring. The interior is decorated with beautiful Islamic designs, while the exterior is paved with granite and artificial stones. The courtyard is also divided into separate sections for men and women, and can accommodate thousands of worshippers.

Al Masjid an Nabawa was built around the year 622 CE (1 AH). The Prophet rode his camel Qaswa to the site to start construction on the mosque. The Prophet refused to accept the land as a gift from orphans, so he bought it himself. It took seven months to construct the mosque. Its roof was made from palm tree branches cemented together with beaten clay.

Dar Al Madinah Museum

Al Rayyan College

Established in 2017, Al Rayyan College is a private university in Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Saudi Arabia. It offers a world-class curriculum in many fields of medicine. It is coeducational and admits students with a high school diploma from outside Saudi Arabia. The college also provides academic and non-academic services for its students.

In addition to Al Rayyan College, the government of Saudi Arabia maintains a university in Medina. This institution offers a Bachelor of Arts degree, Master of Arts degree, and doctorate degree programs. It also offers scholarships and is home to more than 22000 students.

Another higher education institution in Saudi Arabia is King Abdulaziz University, which was founded in 1967. It is ranked in the top 150 in the world and is the sixth-ranked university in the Arab region. King Abdulaziz University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as distance learning programs. Its faculty specializes in various subjects and boasts of over 7,000 students.

The climate in Medina is desert-type, and the city receives very little rainfall. Summers are very hot, while nights are cool. High temperatures can reach 45 degrees Celsius. The winters are colder, with average temperatures between 12 and 25 degrees. Medina has low humidity and very little rainfall, with most of the precipitation falling between November and May. The winter winds are typically south-west.

The city of Medina is situated at an elevation of 620 meters, making it almost three times higher than Mecca. Its highest peak, Mount Uhud, stands at 1,077 meters. The city is located between the Red Sea and the Nafud desert.

The location of Medina is centrally located on two important highways in Saudi Arabia. Highway 15 connects Medina with Mecca, while Highway 60 connects Medina with Yanbu and Al Qassim. The city also has three major ring roads. The first, King Faisal Road, surrounds the city’s urban area. The second, King Khalid Road, meanwhile, surrounds most of Medina and a few rural areas.

The city is also home to two industrial areas. The larger one was established in 2003 and is comprised of 10,000,000 m2. The larger area has 236 factories producing petroleum products. A third area, the Knowledge Economic City, is under development and is expected to create more jobs in Medina.
